Bringing the Haystack Hunny Photoshoot to Life
The vision for this shoot started with a feeling I couldn’t shake.
I kept envisioning wildflowers sprouting from the hay bales — blooming wildly and beautifully from something rough, dry, and weathered. Strong yet soft. Delicate but resilient.
Much like the spirit behind Wildflowers and Wild Horses by Lainey Wilson.
Women who remain soft yet strong against all odds. The kind of beauty that survives harsh seasons and still finds a way to bloom.
That contrast became the heartbeat of this entire collection.
To bring the vision to life, my husband Matt loaded giant hay bales from our hay shed into the paddock using the front-end loader, building the backdrop for what would become one of our favourite Dress With Heart Vintage shoots to date.
Then Gidgee Estate worked their magic — weaving wildflowers throughout the hay bales until it looked as though blooms had naturally grown straight from the straw itself.
The contrast was everything we love at Dress With Heart Vintage.

One of the most special moments from the shoot was Rach holding a baby lamb ( our pet poddy lamb Tiny) amongst the wildflowers and hay bales — a scene that perfectly captured the softness and romance woven throughout the entire collection.
